SaaS Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools for Organizations

The company I work for has been searching for a SaaS business intelligence solution to reduce our overhead IT budget. I was assigned the task to evaluate the different onDemand BI vendors within the market and compare their features. The main goal of the evolution is to find a vendor that carries a set of reporting tools that will help us achieve our end goal of increasing the speed at which we make decisions.

Another very important aspect of the evaluation will be the ability to easily customize dashboards and generate high quality data visualizations. The only company that seemed to have a complete solution during our search for BI vendors was Actuate. They just recently launched a SaaS on-Demand solution called Actuate BIRT onDemand and are currently giving our trial licenses for developers such as myself to test drive the solution. I am currently testing it out and will report back with information based on my findings.
